Team GB Olympic gold medallist makes multi-million-pound CBD investment

Team GB Olympic gold medallist Jade Jones has announced a multi-million-pound investment in a UK wellness brand. Her firm, JJ Double Gold, will invest in York-based CBD business HempWell Ltd over the next three years, Jones having started her own brand in July. She said: “HempWell has a wealth of expertise in this area, and I’m excited to be part of the journey and help take the business to the next level.” The firm will leverage expertise in AI and technology to grow the business, HempWell said. Welsh athlete Jones, nicknamed the Headhunter, won Team GB’s first Olympic medal in taekwondo at the London 2012 Games before retaining her title four years later in Rio de Janeiro.
